Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum and minimum weight of stock and sheet size that can run through your CreaseStream machines?
Answer ... All CreaseStream machines can feed, crease and micro-perforate stocks from 85 -350gsm. Some micro-perforating is required on lower stocks, and some creasing is necessary on materials up to 400gsm - we are pushing the boundaries and also succeeding in these areas. The “mini” and “junior” versions of CreaseStream can feed sheets widths from 80 – 520cmm .
What is the average speed of each CreaseStream model?
Answer ... The CreaseStream plus can reach speeds of over 20,000 A4 size sheets per hour. The “junior” version can feed up to 4,000 sheets per hour, depending on operator handling ability. The “mini” is our basic model which is driven by a rotary handle, this can crease/micro-perforate up to 250 sheets per hour as an average.
Can we put more than one crease in on one pass ?
Answer .... Each CreaseStream machine comes with a standard set of 2 creasing tools , and more can be added accordingly. We have certain packages available so customers can choose to include extra applications at the time of purchase, to save them ordering later and paying more.
Rotary perforating can be rough, why is your solution different?
Answer...We spent 2 years perfecting our micro-perforating application so we could guarantee excellent quality. Basically we apply the perf blade on top of a special nylon anvil. This way the teeth of the perf blade kiss-cuts the sheet, and only slightly penetrates the nylon anvil, giving a flatter result. The standard blades are specially manufactured, because they are so fine, 17, 25 & 52 teeth per inch depending on the version of machine ordered. This precision tool is simple to add to any of the CreaseStream range.
Is each CreaseStream supplied with a micro-perf tool as standard?
Answer...The CreaseStream “plus” and “junior” are supplied with one micro-perforating tool, and this is an optional item for the “mini”.
