CreaseStream reveals their “sheet feeder” licensing deal with Vivid Laminating Technologies –
Read our latest press release to learn about the licensing deal for our Gravity Flow Feeder, and how your business could also benefit from this technology…
CreaseStream, daughter company of creasing specialists, Tech-ni-Fold Ltd, have revealed that they have licensed their CreaseStream feeding head & belt drive technology to machine manufacturer’s Vivid Laminating Technologies. The patented “Gravity Flow Feeder” which was developed to feed digitally printed sheets without marking the toner and by avoiding the common use of vacuum air feed methods, has been a big hit with hundreds of CreaseStream customers, and critical elements have been licensed to Vivid to manufacture for their own market. The Auto-Feeder can be fitted to the full range of Pneumatic & Duplex Matrix MX-530 Laminating Systems and fully automates print finishing workflow.
Graham Harris, owner of CreaseStream explains, “We realise that the potential for feeding offset and digitally printed sheets outside of our market of expertise, using our system, potentially falls into many other areas of print & print finishing production. The tie up with Vivid is a sensible and obvious step because we can make use of our patent in areas that do not bring competition to our creasing line. We feel that the Printweek Live forum will be a perfect venue for us to discuss similar licensing deals with various types of solution based manufacturer’s who might want to find more cost-effective ways to successfully feed their materials as an alternative to more traditional air-feed methods that bring different challenges. And this might appeal to digital print, card or packaging manufacturers, the possibilities are diverse.”
Harris is optimistic that the market will begin to open up for expansion of his patented system in other areas, but has stressed that the finer details of CreaseStream’s Agreement with Vivid remains confidential. The Gravity Flow feeder can be seen in operation on CreaseStream’s Auto-feed and Quick-feed models at Printweek Live, taking place at the Wasps Arena, Coventry from 8-9 March 2017 – stand B55
